Pirate Advent 2009: Day 4
Imperial Officer
Say! This guy isn't a pirate!
When you think about it, Pirates is one of the few LEGO themes that favors the "Bad Guys". Sure, some themes give both sides of a conflict equal time (Castle comes to mind) but not many.
Okay, and maybe in the grand scope of history LEGO does tend to favor the invading army. Western, Power Miners, Mars Mission, Belville...all focused on trampling the natives.
Erm. Anyway. Where was I?
Oh yeah.
Today's Pirate Advent toy is an Imperial Soldier. And, as Star Wars teaches us, Imperials are the bad guys.

Actually, The Power Miners are trying to stop the Rock Monsters eating the crystals because they create mini-earthquakes each time they succeed, global warming isn't the end.
True Story
Hey! Imperial soldiers are the good guys! It's those Rebels who are terrorist scum!
exactky! the empire was awesome! I think they should ahve just bombarded yavin 4 with star destroyers...
I, for one, would love to hear more about the aggressive militarism at play in Belville. I'm guessing it's flick-fire missiles in the doghouses - TLG puts them in everything now...
And I think I heard that the MM jelly aliens (which appear not to be native of Mars) attacked the humans first. MM fought back.
The Rockies in PM are threatening the earth with earthquakes.
Imperial Soldiers are the good guys in Pirates as well.
