I just got done rebuilding Crow's nest at Brickworld. Came back to the table to find it shattered. This is why we can't have nice things.

Edited to add: Turns out the cleaning crew bumped the table. They let the convention staff know, and they passed along an apology when they saw me.

An accident like that is completely understandable - it's much better than my suspicion that it had been some stranger playing with the model, breaking it, and then sneaking away.

Oh, you have my sympathies. Any clue as to how it got shattered?

I've never had anything completely shattered, but I have had to fix-up monorail trains when little fingers got too close to the display and caused a derailment (actually, it's about 50/50 between 'little fingers' and 'big fingers who should know better').

Turns out it was the cleaning crew - the hotel let the convention staff know, and they passed along their apology yesterday when they caught me at my table.

Luckily I was able to rebuild without a problem, and things have gone great otherwise. :)
