Read the comic here.
For my Non-US readers, Detroit has a reputation of being a "less than pleasant" area to live in. I currently live in the Detroit suburbs, and I can vouch for that description.
Hope to have a double comic post tomorrow to catch back up.

"Check it out: this is Detroit."
(ruined city on tv)
"And this is Detroit after the invasion."
(ruined city with aliens)
I liked the Scary Movie franchise, despite the less-than-sophisicated humour.
I will vouch for Detroit's reputation too. Just living in the same state is bad enough.
You should be lucky, Chris. At least you don't live in New Jersey, where I live. *shudders*
Ian better be careful, it's going to be snowing in Detroit, if I were him I'd avoid wide open spaces because he could freeze to death out there. ;)
Booooooo, Red Wings! (sorry, knee-jerk reaction)
And let's hear it for the Lions well on their way to the first ever 0-16 season in NFL history!
@Geoffrey: snow's not so bad. I'd be more worried about randomly being shot.
Ian: Are you talking about 'randomly being shot' from the perspective of the criminal or the police officer?
I'm thinking more 'victim', Geoff.
I live in a suburb of Detroit as well, small world.
Least the former Mayor is where he belongs...
how come Ian is going to lose his clothes?
Enh, if he stays in Detroit too long he'll lose his shirt anyway... this way he gets it over with early. :)
