In role playing games there's an event called "being railroaded". That when the GM (or DM or Ford or whatever) has the player characters on a tight track to keep the story moving forward. Player choices are limited or non-existent, dialog is pre-written, and things are just forced to move along "for the good of the story."
In the (quite recent) past, Whiskey has shown his disdain for that playing style. Is it any wonder he'd hang up on the next obvious story hook?
