Episode 717

Read the comic here.

In the end, I think LEGO finally caught a clue. The Chrome Stormtrooper was issued in just the right way - easy to acquire, reasonably priced.

Now what I'd like to see them do is issue a three-pack of the chrome C-3PO, Vader and the Stormtrooper for $30. Yes, even after I shelled out the $$ for the "collectible" Vader.

Oh, and for those who are wondering, YES, I have the new "Chrome Gold Mini-figure" keychain already. If I wanted to take this rant into week two, he'd have made an appearance.

But I figured some of you would rather see me get back to the main story.

It looks like the golden minifig doesn't have golden hands...

One more question, I've been afriad to buy any magnet sets because I don't know if they come offf the base or not, from todays strip, I'm assuming they do? Or just the trooper?

@wrathkid:

The golden figure has plain tan hands. It's odd looking.

As to the magnets, as far as I know all the recent releases come off the base no problem. It's a real boon to mini-fig collectors; the Star Wars set with Duko, Mace, and Yoda was a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the sets they came packaged in.

It's starting to look like a 501st meeting there!

Gotta get me one of those shiny stormtroopers...

@Tk:

I was thinking of you and the 501st when I was assembling today's strip, actually.

*Predicts that Kent is a red herring.*
*Waits to see a comic showing Fox killing Kent*

Wait... what little fire said about Kent made me think of something...

CHRIS HIMSELF IS A RED HERRING!!!!!

nope just the mini fig version, however i dont think much bad about the herrings, i mean, They are exactly the same as the actual characters, so, whats so evil about a species that only wants to live above ground but does notknow how other than to take over another persons body?

One question; can the new magnet minis be completely disassembled? Or did Lego do something stupid like glue the head and legs to the torso. I mean what fun would Darth Maul be if you couldn’t relive his death.

Hey Chris, thanks for finally continuing the strip! If you can, check out my new blog by just clicking on my name, I guess. I'm new to this whole blogger thing...
