It couldn't possibly cost a planet of chili to make such small jumps, and Dr Who's TARDIS could always make short hops, so it must be that Donut's calculations are off ...
I wonder if there's a possibility of another trip back to the place where Donut originally discovered the mutant chili?
According to online web sources, Habanero chili can be quite hot, I guess it depends on what chili the mutant strain came from before there was a mutant.
Also, on the chili subject, the higher the Scoville rating, the better. This Wikipedia article has some data on chili:
