Webcomic Beacon

Here's a bit of upcoming fun to add to your calendar! On Sunday, May 18th at 12 Noon EST, I'll be taking part in the following podcast:

Click on through to visit The Webcomic Beacon.

It's been a while since I've been on a podcast...the last time was back in August of 2008. Hopefully I'll be a bit more articulate this time....

Well, I'm thoroughly disappointed,. It's been over a year and still no progress on the serenity 3 or 4 projects, jsut a ton of comics no-one can keep up with and some small bits of random news. I'm honestly getting very bored of what used to be one of my favouite sites. The comic used to be good when it was the original plot line of Brickhouse, but now... just isn't as good. I genuinely hope at some point we'll get an update of what you promised.

Well, sorry you feel that way. I do appreciate the feedback, even if it's negative. I do disagree with you, of course.

True, I haven't felt inspired to work on Serenity, but I have been doing a lot of non-comic building lately. Have you looked at my Flickr account lately? Firefly CubeDudes, Lenticular murals, stained glass octopi... Not to mention a lot of photo-reviews of LEGO sets.

As to the comic...to me it's still one big plotline. But any story-based comic is going to get complex over time...and at nearly 1000 episodes, mine is admittedly more complex than most. It seems like readership is up, so maybe I'm just reaching a different group of readers these days.

And finally, as to Serenity 3&4...they're still on the list. The big engines I built are still front-row on my in-progress shelf, should my muse decide to strike. But honestly, it's probably going to be a while.

I've seen the firefly cube dudes and the stain glass octopi, the kego reviews though, often feel short and un-rewarding to read. I'm still gunna be sticking around the site, just not as frequently as I used to, waiting...
